How is the online auditor course delivered?

The online auditor course features 6 multimedia modules – each module is comprised of around 60 – 80 screens which utilize audio, video and infographics to deliver clear guidance on understanding the relevant management system and how to conduct an audit. There are interactive quizzes throughout the course and tracked quizzes at the end of each module (this is fed back to us so we can monitor delegate progress).

In addition to the 6 modules there is a case study. This takes the delegate through a simulated audit situation in which they must write up non-conformances against our online audit example.

How do I pay for the online training?

Paypal is used to process payments. Using the well-established and proven Paypal payment system, our web site records payment using credit card, online banking, transfer of funds. You don’t need to be Paypal registered, it works anyway. The system is safe and secure and we receive an email to say your payment has been successful. We then send out invites to the course modules. You then log in by clicking on the invite and this takes you to the course. You can change your password if you wish.

Delegates will also be able to use their credit card directly without having to go through Paypal.

Do I have to pay VAT?

VAT is not applicable as we have deregistered. We have done this  to simplify the pricing structure wherever in the world you may be.

Are the courses accredited?

Yes, both of our flagship courses are fully accredited. The OHSAS 18001 Training Course for Auditors is accredited by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and the Internal Environmental Management System (EMS) Auditor Course Online is accredited by the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA).

What happens if I have a problem?

Occasionally someone gets stuck! For whatever reason, simply send us an email or telephone our mobile number (we have numbers for Carol, John and Gary) and we endeavour to answer any query or issue you have at our earliest (even at weekends). Just give us a call anyway – its always nice to have a chat about auditing, courses or specific points you were wondering about. If you are outside the UK, then bear in mind time differences and dialling codes etc.

How is the course assessed?

The course is assessed via tracked quizzes, which come at the end of each module. In addition to this there is a separate case study. Delegates are asked to write up a set of 4 findings using our online audit case study as material. The answers are marked by the course tutor. Results are sent to the accrediting body and hard copy certificates are sent to your nominated address. You also receive a scan of the certificate by email.

How long does the course take to complete?

Each module takes around 2 hours to complete and then an additional 8 – 10 of hours for the case study (depending on how quickly you work and how many notes you take). Together with background reading and review, it is appropriate to allocate 24 hours to complete the whole course from start to finish.

When does the next course start?

The course is delivered as a fully-online training solution, so it can begin whenever you’re ready. It can be studied at your own location and at your own pace.

How do I source a company for the case study?

You don’t need to. The case study is a fully online audit simulation and it is provided as part of the course. There are multi-media presentations, audio and visual records to review as in a real audit.

How long do I get to finish the course?

In order to gain an accredited certificate you need to complete the course within 4 months of registration. If the deadline is missed you need to be re-registered and begin the course again (you may be charged for this as an additional payment (£25 for IEMA or £30 for IOSH).

Here is a selection of additional queries we have received regarding our ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 online training courses. Please contact us if you have additional questions ;-

Hi AuditMentor
Can you give me some more details about the online training courses you offer?
Many thanks, Shubham.

Good afternoon Shubham,
Thank you for your enquiry into the AuditMentor range of courses. Looking at the list of courses you wish to undertake, we have two which would be relevant to you. We currently offer courses on the OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001-2015 management systems – unfortunately we don’t currently offer a course on the ISO 9001 standard.
ISO 14001-2015 went live in September and this will be the working standard for all companies who wish to stay (or become) ISO 14001 accredited. Our course is fully up to date with the new standard.
To give you a little bit more information: the courses both follow the same format – 6 multimedia modules – each one comprised of around 60 ‘slides’ which utilize audio, video and infographics to deliver clear guidance on understanding the OHSAS 18001 management system and how to conduct an audit. There are interactive quizzes throughout the course and tracked quizzes at the end of each module.
In addition to the 6 modules there is a case study. This takes the delegate through a simulated audit situation in which they must write up non-conformances against our online audit example.
Each module takes between 1 and 2 hours to complete and then an additional couple of hours for the case study. I usually advice people that the course takes between 10 and 13 hours to complete (depending on how quickly you work and how many notes you take).
The courses are fully accredited (Internal EMS course by IEMA – The Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment, OHSAS 18001 course by IOSH, Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) and you will receive a certificate that is produced by them upon successful completion of the course.

Hope this meets you well. I am interested in the ISO18001 Auditor Training.
I just need a little clarification. At the end of the the training, would there be any formal assessment?
Do I get any certification to show that I have completed this course? If yes, please can you confirm what certification?
Thanks
Ngozi

Good afternoon Ngozi,
Thanks for your enquiry. Let me answer your questions below:
Firstly – the course is divided into 6 multimedia modules (each featuring around 60 interactive slides) and then there is an online case study. This is where you write up a set of findings against our audit example.
Assessment is carried out via tracked quizzes (one at the end of each of the
6 modules) and then we mark your written case study findings.

There is a certificate upon successful completion course which is produced directly by IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health). The course is fully accredited by them.
I hope that answers your questions. If you would like any more detail or have any other queries, just let me know.

To Whom It May Concern.
I live in Thailand, my Credit Card is from a bank in the USA.
What price will I be paying for the OHSAS 18001 course?
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Kindest regards,
John

Thank you for your enquiry into course costs for the AuditMentor OHSAS 18001 Training Course for Auditors.
Having read your message, if you are paying from a US bank then you will be exempt from VAT. Our system will automatically recognise this from your location. It won’t make a difference that you live in Thailand, as that would also render you exempt, so it will work either way.
The course will be £395 sterling, so if you are paying in US dollars (at today’s exchange rate) it looks to be about $530.
You can register directly through the Auditmentor website at https://auditmentor.com/courses/

Please forgive my question, as I couldn’t find the information on the website.
Of the material I will have access to whilst completing the course, what will be available to me for reference material once I have successfully completed. Meaning, what information, files, notes etc. will I be able to reference offline?

With regards to the material – the course is designed as a fully online training solution – we are trying to get away from the traditional books and papers approach, so we are confident that all you need is contained within the course. Second to that, we are developing www.auditmentor.com as a portal for audit info, so there will be audit information, news and our director’s blog, which will relate to the latest points of interest on the standards etc.
We are always on hand to answer specific questions (before and after training with us), and our company director (and course author) John Marsden is always available to provide expert advice.
Lastly – the notes you take whilst taking the course act as a reference – making these notes will certainly help you to retain the information initially anyway.

Just to clarify, once I have joined (registered and paid for this course) I will always have access to the information?

Thanks – yes, we’re enjoying the process and have had lots of good feedback from our delegates all over the world.
With regards to the information we have to take away access to the course modules once your certificate is issued, as we have to keep strict control over that to avoid sharing.
We are flexible though, and are always happy to help delegates to refresh knowledge or answer any questions they may have.

For info, I live in Thailand will it be a problem to send me the certificate (or do you use an online cert system?)?
will the entire course be online (because of my job I do travel a lot, so it may be very difficult to commit to a date for an eventual “site assessment”, unless you are willing to do it via Skype or the like).
Last thing, since i’m likely to take both courses, how much is that going to cost?
Regards Christophe

Hi Christophe,
Thanks for your enquiry. I understand that you would like to check out the course before committing. I will send you module 1 of our OHSAS 18001 Training Course now, so you can get a feel for our multimedia content.
To let you know a little more information about our courses:

Hello Gary,
I will be booking and paying for the courses, but I am not the person undertaking the courses. Is there a section on your website where you can put details of the person undertaking the courses?
Best wishes
Mark

Hi Mark,
When you make the purchase, there is a notes section. If you provide the delegate details in there then I will send the invitations out to them. If you could provide full name, email address, postal address (for certificate) and a contact telephone number, then that would be great.

Good Afternoon,
I am interested in your online 18001 Audit course. You state the course is IOSH accredited; is it accredited as a 18001 awareness course or does it qualify the delegate to be a 18001 auditor?

Chris

Hi Chris,
Thanks for your enquiry. Our course is a fully accredited auditor course. Once successfully completed you will be able to audit the OHSAS 18001 management system and will receive a certificate directly produced by IOSH.

Hello AuditMentor,
I am looking forward to take the Internal Environmental Management System (EMS) Auditor , I have some questions
1- is it mentioned in the certificate that this course is E-learning course ?
2- Is the certificate in PDF format or original ?
3- I am from JORDAN I need to know the shipping cost and if it possible to send the certificate to an PO.BOX that I own in UK ?

Good evening Omar,
Thank you for your enquiry into the AuditMentor ISO 14001 – 2015 course. Let me answer your questions in turn below:
The certificate doesn’t say that it is an e-learning course, just that you have successfully completed the Internal Environmental Management System, (EMS) Auditor Course, your course score and that it is certified by IEMA.
You will receive a hard copy of the certificate through the post, directly from IEMA, and a digital copy (PDF) via email.
There is no shipping cost, and we would be happy to send your certificate to Jordan. We deal with delegates all around the world, so we are very used to mailing all over the place!
I’m sorry, we can’t provide a sample certificate, as they are produced directly by IEMA and they contain delegate names and scores. We can’t provide blank ones as we have to be careful that they are not copied.
In order to gain the accredited certificate you need to complete and pass the course. This entails going through the 6 core modules (each one features around 60 multimedia slides) and passing the tracked quizzes at the end of each one. After this, you will move on to a case study, this is where you are asked to write up findings against our online audit example. The course is fully online and can be studied anywhere that you have a decent internet connection. The certificate is an A4 document, with a unique number (generated by IEMA) and has both their and our logo on, your name and your course score.
There is no final exam. The course is assessed via the tracked quizzes and case study (as detailed above). If you fail to achieve a passing mark, we will give you support and help you to re-sit the failed modules (at no extra cost).
I hope that answers your questions. If you need any further clarification, just let me know.

Once I pay for the course is the course delivered completely online or do I need to wait for materials shipped to my address?
Is the course accredited and is there a certficate number?

Good afternoon Kenneth,
Thank you for your enquiry into the OHSAS 18001 Training Course for Auditors. I will answer your questions below:
Firstly, the course is delivered fully online and is self contained. Once you pay for the course you will receive invitations for the 6 core modules of the course and instructions on how to proceed.
The course is fully accredited by IOSH (The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) and the certificate (upon successful completion) is produced directly by them upon submission of your marks. The certificates are all individually numbered and recorded by IOSH.
I hope that answers your questions. If you would like any further information, please let me know. Alternatively, if you are ready to register, you can do so online by clicking the banner below my signature.

I would like to enquire as to the certification that is received on completion of this course. Is it a registered “academic” certificate?
Thank you.

Good afternoon Paul,
Thank you for you enquiry into the ISO 14001 – 2015 Internal EMS Auditor Course. To answer your question – the certificate you receive for the course is produced directly by IEMA, is individually numbered and recorded by them. It starts that you have undertaken and passed am IEMA certified EMS Auditor Course.
The course would be recognised by businesses around the world as an auditing qualification and has been used by a large number of delegates as a way to begin their career as internal auditors. It isn’t academic in the sense that it wouldn’t count towards UCAS for University entrance as it is a vocational qualification for use specifically within the auditing industry.
I hope that answers your questions. If you would like any further information, please let me know. Alternatively, if you are ready to register, you can do so online by clicking the banner below my signature.

Hi Gary
Thanks for the info,
All sounds good to me, especially the simulated audit at the end
I am in Uganda until next week and then I fly back to UK for a couple of weeks so I will enrol in time for me getting home as the Internet here is not so clever
Do you recommend any pre course study before ?
Cheers
Rob

Hi Rob,
That’s great. Thanks for letting me know. There is no need for any pre-study as such, as the course is designed to take you through the elements of the standard and then the requirements of an audit. One thing that is helpful is to obtain a copy of the standard. It is not essential for the course (many have taken and passed without one), but it certainly helps and would be an asset in the future as you build up your audit portfolio.

My questions are:
How does the on line course work? Are their exams / assessments at the end of each section?
How long does it take?
What sort of case study does one need to complete in a company (depth of audit) as I am not currently working and would need to gain permission to have access to companies?
Also is there a limit on the size of the Company?
Best Regards,
Linda

Good afternoon Linda,
Thank you for your enquiry into the OHSAS 18001 Training Course for Auditors. Let me answer your questions below:
The first thing to say about the course is that it is delivered as a fully-online training solution, so it can be studied at your own location, at your own pace, and can be started whenever you are ready.
The course features 6 multimedia modules – each module is comprised of around 60 ‘slides’ which utilize audio, video and infographics to deliver clear guidance on understanding the OHSAS 18001 management system and how to conduct an audit.
It is the combination of tracked quizzes and your case study findings which act as the assessment for the course. There is no further examination. It is marked in house and the marks are sent to IOSH for certification.
Each module takes between 1 and 2 hours to complete and then an additional couple of hours for the case study. I usually advice people that the course takes between 10 and 13 hours to complete (depending on how quickly you work and how many notes you take).
As I have alluded to above, you do not need to source a case study. It is a simulated audit situation and comes as part of the course.
There is no limit to the size of a company you can audit after taking the course, as the principles remain the same.
I hope that answers your questions. If you would like any further information just let me know. Alternatively, if you are ready to register, you can do so online be clicking on this link:

Subject: EMS Certification
Message Body:
I wanted to be sure that this course will include the final exam and certification. Please advise.

Good morning Stephanie,
Thank you for your enquiry. To answer your question, the course fee does include the certification – which is produced directly by IEMA upon successful completion. There isn’t a final exam as such. The course is assessed using tracked quizzes (at the end of each of the 6 modules) and then through a case study. The case study is fully online, and is also included in the course fee. It asks you to write up a set of non-conformances against our online audit example.
I hope that gives you the information you require. If you would like any further clarification, just let me know. Alternatively, if you are ready to register, you can do so here: https://auditmentor.com/courses/

Hi Audit Mentor,
Can you explain how IEMA recognise the ISO 14001 auditor course as I’m working towards Chartership in 2016.

Good morning Daniel,
Thank you for your enquiry. To answer your question, IEMA accredit the course, so it is recognised as an IEMA accredited auditing qualification. The certificate you receive, upon successful completion, is also produced directly by them. We are on their list of accredited training providers, so any company operating under the ISO 14001 standard, will recognise the training.
I hope that answers your question. If you would like any further clarification, or details about the course, just let me know.
