Carol Marsden is the HSE course developer for Auditmentor, working alongside course author (and industry expert) John Marsden to develop the range of online auditor training courses.
Over the last year Carol has been working to accommodate the new standard ISO 14001: 2015 into the Internal Environmental Management System (EMS) Auditor course.
Here’s what Carol has had to say:
“It has been quite a challenge, as the revisions have been considerable. However, as we worked though the course, it has helped to give us a greater understanding of the new standard and how it will apply to companies and the auditing process.
Coming from an artistic background (I had my own fine art company prior to working for AuditMentor) I love being able to use my artistic skills to create interesting multimedia content – whether that involves animating interactive graphics, using photographs or integrating video. I have even added sound production (in a recording studio) and video shoots to my repertoire!
There is a real sense of satisfaction and achievement when we publish the courses, knowing what we have put into them, seeing them work well and knowing they will be delivered to delegates all over the world”.
Gary Huddless – Marketing Coordinator and Auditor Training Course Administrator
“At AuditMentor we pride ourselves on being different to the run-of-the mill training. My job is to make sure people get the personal touch – responding to incoming queries, providing support and helping people through their HSE course learning experience.
I also deal with the company’s digital profile, whether that is on social media, copy writing or coordinating online case studies with past delegates. It’s important to us to keep in touch with people – case studies are a good way to find out how our HSE courses have benefitted people and companies long after they complete our courses”.
She’s very organised and loves graphic design so much that she completed a degree at Sheffield Hallam University in this subject. After working for us over the past two years Natalie has taken time out to bring up a family. However she still helps out when she can with development of auditor training course graphics.
